Almost. Your entries are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before they leave your phone, and our servers store ciphertext, unreadable without your device key. One exception: finishing an entry, or tapping Go Deeper mid-entry, sends that entry's text to the AI that writes the response. It's processed in flight and never stored there. Chat conversations are also stored unencrypted today, so Mann can remember them.

Mann writes back in 8 Indian languages. The app itself is in Hindi, Hinglish and English, with more coming. The AI responds in whichever language you write in, including Hinglish, and the app's own screens ship in 3 of those today.

No, and we never claim to be. Mann is a journaling companion: it helps you process, reflect, and understand yourself better. Deleted immediately and permanently. Your profile, entries, mood logs, chats, habits and subscription go at once; residual copies in backups are purged within 30 days. Your encryption key goes with your device, so any cached ciphertext becomes permanently unreadable. The one thing that stays is community posts: they're part of other people's conversations, but your account ID and handle are stripped from them so nothing links back to you.

You can write journal entries offline; they sync when you reconnect. AI features require internet.

Mann isn't a chatbot. It asks one question at a time, reflects back what you said, and nudges you toward writing rather than endless chatting. It knows what log kya kahenge, joint-family pressure, and a rishta conversation actually feel like. And unlike a general assistant, your finished entries are encrypted with a key that never leaves your phone, in a private journal built only for this.

Your entries are stored as ciphertext we can't read, but they are readable in flight, and more than once: every entry you finish is sent for a private safety check, even one that gets no reflection; again for a reflection if you ask for one, and to update what Mann remembers about you; once more on Premium when you view a finished entry Mann has already reflected on, to write a longer second reflection; and once more again if the check finds a crisis signal, to write the helpline message itself. Chat conversations are a separate store and aren't encrypted yet.
