What Mann does that Dayora does not
What the servers hold, and who trains on your words. Dayora's own site says entries go to OpenAI and can be used to train its models, in exchange for usage credits. Mann's entries are encrypted on your phone before storage; the servers hold ciphertext. A private safety screen reads every finished entry once, and the AI reads it in flight to write the reflection. Nothing is kept. Entries are never used to train any model.
Indian languages. Dayora's interface has no Indian language. Its site says it answers in whatever language you write; we have not tested that in Hindi. Mann writes back in eight Indian languages, tuned for Hinglish rather than translated into it.
A phone app, in rupees. Mann is on the Play Store and the App Store in India, priced in rupees. Dayora is a browser tab billed in dollars.
The reflection stops. Dayora returns a summary, an insight, a next step, then a question. Mann says back one thing and stops. If you write to be heard rather than handed a task, the quieter reply is better.
The context. When you write "Papa said the usual thing about the job", Mann does not need the usual thing explained. That is the reason it exists.
Where Dayora is better
The free plan. A reflection on every entry, not one a day. Voice and 300 chat messages a day, free. Memory that stays. If you never pay, Dayora gives you more.
Any device. Dayora runs in a browser, so one journal opens on your phone and your laptop. Mann does not. The key never leaves the phone that made the entry, so a second device cannot open it.
Voice. Dayora transcribes as you speak, free, and on Plus it holds a spoken conversation. Mann's voice journaling is on Premium, with no calls.
Memory and patterns. Dayora keeps facts from your entries with no stated expiry, and every fifth entry looks back across the last fifty. Mann's reflection is written from the entry alone. Its memory sits in chat, the opening prompt and the weekly report, and reaches back about a fortnight. If you want March to bring up what you said in January, Dayora does that and Mann does not.
Who each is for
Mann is for someone with nobody safe to tell. You write the thing, in whatever language it arrives in. Mann says back the sentence you buried in paragraph four, and gets out of the way. If it reads like a crisis, it gives you helpline numbers instead. For most people reading this in India, Mann is the one to start with: it is free, it is in your language, and it costs ₹199 a month if you ever pay.
Dayora is for someone who wants a lot of journal for free, on every screen they own, and wants the app to summarise, find the pattern and hand back a next step. It says plainly it is not therapy or a crisis line. If you write in English and the training row does not trouble you, that is what it offers.

Is Dayora available in India? Yes, in a browser. There is no Dayora app on either India store. Payment is in US dollars.
Does Dayora support Hindi? Not in its interface. Its site says it answers in the language you wrote. Mann replies in 8 Indian languages.
Which is cheaper? For nothing: Dayora, whose free plan covers more. For a paid plan: Mann, at ₹199 a month against $9.
Can I move from Dayora to Mann? Dayora exports everything in JSON, PDF or Word. Mann has no import today, so you would start fresh. Some people prefer that.
