Where Mann is better

Indian languages. Their listing shows English, French, German and Spanish. Mann writes back in Hindi, Hinglish, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Something said back. When you save an entry, Mann says the one sentence you buried in paragraph four. Five Minute Journal's privacy policy mentions AI coaching prompts, but its listings do not describe the feature, so we cannot tell you what it does.
What the servers hold. Five Minute Journal's policy says your entries and photos are stored on its servers. Mann's entries are encrypted on your phone before they are stored, so Mann's servers hold ciphertext. Both apps send your words to an AI to reply. The difference is what sits on the server after.
Room for the hard thing. On the night the thing is your father, or the offer letter you have not shown anyone, a gratitude list is not where that goes. Mann is built for that entry.
Deleting. Inside the app, immediate and permanent. Five Minute Journal's policy asks you to email them; they reply within 30 days.
