Where Mann is better
It writes back. When you save an entry in Mann, it says back the one sentence that was carrying the weight, then stops. If you have ever finished an entry and wanted someone to have read it, that is the difference.
The bad nights. A gratitude prompt asks what went well today. Some nights nothing did, and the thing you need to write is about your manager or the conversation at dinner. Indian languages. Gratitude's App Store listing lists English. Mann writes back in Hindi, Hinglish, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and English, and was tuned for Hinglish rather than translated into it.
The context. When you write "Papa said the usual thing about the job", Mann does not need the usual thing explained. That is the reason it exists.
Where Gratitude is better
No server holds your entries. Gratitude has no account. Its privacy policy says your data stays on the phone and the company does not store it remotely. Mann's servers hold your entries as ciphertext, a private safety screen reads every finished entry once, and the AI reads it in flight to write the reflection. If you want no server involved at all, Gratitude is closer to that.
Backup, export and a new phone. Google Drive backup on both platforms, iCloud sync across Apple devices, CSV and PDF export. When you change phones, your entries come with you. Mann's entries cannot be opened on a second device, because the key never leaves the first one.

Gratitude is for someone building a habit. You open it in the morning, answer a prompt, read an affirmation, maybe add a photo.
