Where Mann is better
Price. ₹199 against ₹789 a month. ₹1,699 against ₹6,999 a year. And Mann's free plan has the AI reflection; Mindsera's does not.
Indian languages. Mindsera's listing says English, and its FAQ says it cannot guarantee quality in any other language yet. Mann writes back in Hindi, Hinglish, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi, and was tuned for Hinglish rather than translated into it.
What the servers hold. Mindsera encrypts entries at rest and in transit. Mann's entries are encrypted on your phone before they are stored, so Mann's servers hold ciphertext. Both AIs read the entry in flight to reply. In Mann, a private safety screen reads every finished entry once, and the AI reads it in flight to write the reflection. The difference is what sits on the server afterwards.
The context. When you write "Papa said the usual thing about the job", Mann does not need the usual thing explained. That is the reason it exists.
Where Mindsera is better
Analysis. This is what Mindsera is for. Emotions charted across months, recurring topics, a personality profile, a chat that answers questions about your own journal. Mann gives you one sentence back and a weekly report.
Memory. Mindsera connects your whole journal and "knows about your past". Mann's reflection is written from the entry alone. Its memory sits in chat, the opening prompt and the weekly report, and reaches back about a fortnight.
A web app. Mindsera runs in a browser and syncs across devices. Mann does not, because the on-device key never leaves the phone that wrote the entry.
