My Diary's cheapest yearly plan is about half of Mann's, and it also sells a "Permanent VIP" at ₹2,999 or ₹4,999. Neither listing states a trial. The plans buy different things.

Where Mann is better
Something says it back. This is the whole difference. In My Diary you write and the entry is filed. In Mann you write, and Mann says back the sentence you buried in paragraph four, then stops.
Encryption, not a lock. A lock decides who can open the app. Encryption decides what the stored file is. My Diary's listings describe a passcode and a fingerprint, and do not say whether the diary text is encrypted. Mann's entries are encrypted on the phone before they are stored, so Mann's servers hold ciphertext. A private safety screen reads every finished entry once, and the AI reads it in flight to write your reflection. Nothing is kept.
Indian languages. My Diary's screens come in Hindi and Telugu on iOS, and nothing writes back in either. Mann replies in Hindi, Hinglish, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and English.
Deletion and data use. My Diary contains ads, and its Play data safety section says the developer provides no way to request deletion of collected data. Mann deletes everything from inside the app, and never sells, rents or trades your data.
The context. When you write "Papa said the usual thing about the job", Mann does not need the usual thing explained. That is the reason it exists.
Where My Diary is better
Everything a classic diary does. Photos, videos, recordings, stickers, themes, tags, a mood calendar. If your diary is a scrapbook of your days, My Diary is the fuller one. Mann is text and a mood.
Backup and a second device. Turn on backup and your diary goes to your own Google Drive or Dropbox, and comes back on a new phone. Mann does not do this today; the key stays on the one phone that made it.
Export. TXT, PDF, or a printed book. Mann has no export today.
A passcode as well as a fingerprint. My Diary opens with either. Mann's app lock is biometric only, with no PIN fallback, and it unlocks automatically if biometric enrollment is removed from the phone.
Price. ₹899 a year against Mann's ₹1,699, and the free plan is nearly the whole diary, with ads; some themes and backgrounds need Premium.
