Mann vs Reflectly: Which Journal Fits You in India (2026)

Mann TeamMZEUS LABS LLP, Pune
6 min read

If you searched "Reflectly vs Mann", you probably already know Reflectly. It asks how you feel, then draws the graph. Mann is the one built for India. This page puts them side by side.

We make Mann, so read this knowing that. We have tried to be exact rather than kind to ourselves. Where Reflectly does something better, we say so, because you will find out anyway the first evening you use it.

Everything about Reflectly below comes from Reflectly's own website, the privacy policy it links to, and its App Store and Play Store listings for India, read on 9 September 2026. The links are at the bottom.

The short answer

Pick Mann if you think in Hindi, Hinglish, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali or Marathi, want to write the whole thing rather than rate the day, and want the free plan to stay free.

Pick Reflectly if you want a mood tracker first and a journal second: a daily check-in, a question back, and graphs that connect your mood to your habits, in English.

It says nothing about entries at rest or who reads them.Entries are encrypted on your phone before they are stored. Mann's servers hold ciphertext. Your words are read in flight, not at rest: a private safety screen reads every finished entry once, even one that gets no reflection, and the AI (Google Gemini) reads it when it writes your reflection. What Mann does that Reflectly does not

Price. ₹199 a month against Reflectly's App Store India list, which starts at ₹819 with no stated period. ₹1,699 a year against the named "Growth Bundle: Yearly" at ₹9,900.

Indian languages. Reflectly's App Store India listing lists English. Mann writes back in all eight, and was tuned for Hinglish rather than translated into it.

What the servers hold. Reflectly's pages say data is encrypted in transit and processed in the United States, and nothing about entries at rest or who can read them. Mann's entries are encrypted on your phone before they are stored, so Mann's servers hold ciphertext. A private safety screen reads every finished entry once, and the AI reads it in flight to write the reflection. The difference is what sits on the server afterwards.

Writing, not rating. Reflectly starts from "how do you feel today" and a scale. Mann starts from a blank page and one question tuned to the hour. If the thing on your mind does not fit a mood face, you need the page. Reflectly lists no chat; Mann has one, 10 messages a week free, stored as plain text.

The context. When you write "Papa said the usual thing about the job", Mann does not need the usual thing explained. That is the reason it exists.

Where Reflectly is better

The graphs. Reflectly is a mood tracker with a diary attached. It shows "mood correlations and graphs", ties them to a habit tracker, and gives daily, weekly and monthly overviews. Mann gives you one weekly report. If you want to see, in a chart, that the bad weeks line up with the weeks you skipped the gym, Reflectly does that and Mann does not.

iPad. Reflectly runs on iPad. Mann is a phone app.

A trial. Reflectly lets you try Premium before paying. Mann has no trial; the free plan does not end.

Who each is for

Mann is for someone with nobody safe to tell. You write the thing, in whatever language it arrives in. Mann says back the sentence you buried in paragraph four, and gets out of the way. For most people reading this in India, Mann is the one to start with: it is free, it is in your language, and it costs ₹199 a month if you ever pay.

Reflectly is for someone who wants to track. You check in each day, rate the mood, answer the question, and over a month the graphs tell you something you did not notice. If you write in English and want the numbers, that is what it does.

Questions people ask

Is Reflectly available in India? Yes, on the App Store India and Google Play India, priced in rupees on both.

Does Reflectly support Hindi? Its App Store India listing lists English only. The Play listing lists no languages. Mann replies in 8 Indian languages, including Hindi and Hinglish.

Which is cheaper? Mann, on the prices each states plainly: ₹199 a month and ₹1,699 a year, against $9.99 a month and $59.99 a year in Reflectly's App Store description. Reflectly's rupee items carry no periods, so they cannot be compared month for month.

Can I move from Reflectly to Mann? Reflectly's pages do not mention an export. Mann has no import today. You would start fresh, which some people prefer.

If that is what you were looking for

Writing in Mann is free, as much as you like, with one AI reflection a day and 10 chat messages a week. Premium is ₹199 a month or ₹1,699 a year. Get Mann here.

Or don't. A paper notebook does most of this, and we say that on every page. The one thing it cannot do is say back the sentence you buried in paragraph four.

Still deciding? This page is one of thirty. The whole set, with prices in rupees and the rows each app wins, is in Best AI journaling apps in India.
